From October 2017 to December 2020, Mr. Karl was a member of the Board of Directors of Swiss Crypto Vault Ltd in Zug – now Bitcoin Suisse Vault. There, he led the initial phase of a joint venture between Swiss Gold Safe Ltd and Bitcoin Suisse Ltd focused on crypto asset custody.
Ludwig Karl is responsible for successful IT development and digitalisation at Swiss Gold Safe. He also monitors client-oriented collaboration with the precious metals dealer Echtgeld Ltd. This facility allows clients to purchase precious metal bars and coins from specialist retailers and have them delivered direct to a Swiss Gold Safe high-security warehouse.
Ludwig Karl completed his Bachelor of Science in Economics in 2013 at the Ludwig-Maximilian-University of Munich (LMU), with a specialisation in monetary theory. He has extensive experience working with internal and external clients across all organisational levels and functions.
